France dispatches a flight with 54 tons of aid to Gaza

Paris, Oct 26 (Prensa Latina) The French government announced today the dispatch of a special flight with 54 tons of humanitarian aid destined for the Palestinian Gaza Strip, plunged into a crisis by systematic Israeli bombings.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry specified that this is the aid advanced yesterday by President Emmanuel Macron, consisting of emergency medical kits, drugs and materials for hospitals, among other vital resources given the situation on the ground.

Gaza, one of the most densely populated territories in the world, reports thousands of fatalities and injuries from the bombings that Israel unleashes in retaliation for the deadly Hamas attack on October 7.

Tel Aviv also subjects the Strip to a total blockade, a prelude to a land incursion, a context in which the Palestinian coastal enclave fell into a collapse of its health system.

The day before, Macron announced in Cairo the sending of a humanitarian flight and a military ship to support hospitals in Gaza.

According to the Foreign Ministry, in addition to the aforementioned medical resources, the plane that will land in the next few hours on Egyptian soil will transport 18 respirators to Gaza, boxes with enough resources to care for 500 patients each, a thousand solar lamps, 336 tents. campaign (to house a family), 28 tons of food supplements and 70 thousand tablets of drinking water.

In his meetings on the tour of the Middle East, which included Israel, Palestine, Jordan and Egypt, the French president urged that aid reach Gaza without obstacles and respect for the lives of civilians, but without demanding a halt the fire.
