Participants in the march chanted slogans such as Palestine, freedom, It is not a war, it is a genocide, Solidarity with Palestine or Long live the struggle for the Palestinian people.
The Unión General de Trabajadores (UGT) trade union called for an immediate end to the bombing in Gaza, where thousands of buildings have been destroyed, including schools, hospitals, media facilities and UN offices.
The UGT also called for the end to the humanitarian blockade imposed on Gaza, after Israel imposed a total ban on water, food and fuel supply.
Revenge can never be confused with security and nothing can justify violence, said the UGT, condemning Israel’s massive punishment to the Palestinian population.
