Rosaviatsia’s press release states that the modern aircraft was accompanied on its first takeoff by workers of the Voronezh aviation plant.

The modernized Il-96-400M has a fuselage lengthened by nine meters and an improved digital flight and navigation system, which makes it much more efficient than its predecessor models.

The aircraft’s maximum flight range will exceed eight thousand kilometers and it will be able to carry up to 370 passengers.
