President Abbas tells U.S. Israel must stop crimes against Gaza

Mahmoud-Abbas3
Riyadh, Nov 11 (Prensa Latina) Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday blamed the United States for the lack of a peace agreement in the Levant and called for putting pressure on Israel to force it to stop crimes against Gaza.

Washington, which has the most influence over Israel, is responsible for the absence of a political solution in this conflict, and therefore we call it (US) Israel must stop crimes against Gaza, Mahmoud Abbas added.

“Our Palestinian people are exposed to the most horrendous and brutal aggression, including an unprecedented war of annihilation, at the hands of the cowardly Israeli war machine,” Mahmoud Abbas condemned. Since the beginning of the new cycle of violence on October 7, the Israeli armed forces have killed or wounded over 40,000 civilians, most of them children, women and the elderly.

My heart is filled with pain, sadness and anger at the killing of thousands of minors, the extermination of entire families and the destruction of hospitals, mosques, churches and schools in the Strip, Mahmoud Abbas stated.

My mind cannot believe this is happening in full view of the world, without immediately stopping this brutal war and preventing further killing and destruction to our defenseless people, he stressed.

How long will this permissibility, persecution, murder and lack of justice against the Palestinian people last, he asked.

Ahead of these massacres, Mahmoud Abbas announced his government and the Palestinian authorities will bring the Israeli authorities to justice.

At this historic moment, everyone must take on their responsibilities to establish the foundations for peace, security and stability in our region and stop the cycles of violence forever, he said.

For such a reason, Mahmoud Abbas renewed his call to the UN Security Council (UNSC) to to put an immediate end to the war campaign in Gaza.

He also demanded that UNSC to guarantee the entry of food and medicine into the Strip, and restart water, electricity and fuel supplies.

“We will not accept military and security solutions (…) We will not compromise with the legitimate rights of our people,” he warned.
