Nov 25 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Graduates Association of Sri Lanka, highlighted today the humanist idea of Fidel Castro (1926-2016) to allow students from other countries to study in Cuba.

This was said by Rathnamudali during a beautiful and exciting activity, on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of th physical disappearance of the Cuban leader, in an environment adorned with the Cuban and Sri Lankan ensigns and a bust of Fidel Castro, made by the association, and which is safeguarded at the Cuban embassy in Colombo.

The leader of the KRDV also stressed that this program means a lot to nations like Sri Lanka, which has professionals in various sectors such as health, sports and computer science graduated from Cuban universities.

On behalf of the group, the leader expressed his enormous gratitude to Fidel Castro and the Cuban people for taking care of them during their studies. He also emphasized on that period, during which they received a first class academic education for life.

Rathnamudali affirmed that they confess anywhere in the world that they are professionals graduated in Cuba, and are respected for it. He added that they always feel Fidel’s guidance in aspects of life and daily work and that “although we are now adults, we feel we are sons and daughters of Fidel, who lives in our hearts”.
