Palestine condemns comments by far-right Dutch politician
Ramallah, Nov 25 (Prensa Latina) The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned statements made by far-right legislator Geert Wilders, whose party was the most voted in the recent elections in the Netherlands.
The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs denounced the comments by Wilders, who denied the rights of the Palestinian people, including the creation of a sovereign and independent state on the land.
In a statement, the ministry criticized the MP’s call for the displacement to Jordan of the population in the occupied territories, which has been suffering a new Israeli war campaign since October 7.
Such statements are an exhortation “to intensify the aggression against our people and a flagrant interference in their affairs and destiny”, the text affirmed.
It also called on the government of the Netherlands to reject such words, which violate international law.
The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and other countries in the region, as well as the Arab League, condemned Wilders’ statements.
