The head of Russian diplomacy recalled that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin irresponsibly stated that if Russia won in the Ukrainian conflict it would not stop and would continue to the Baltics, Poland and other neighbors.

“This is said by a person who holds a responsible position and who cannot but receive assessments from experts, who analyze the state of affairs between Moscow and Washington and who surely understand what exactly is being decided in Ukraine,” Lavrov stressed.

The Foreign Minister referred that the main reason for the special military operation in Ukraine was that the Ukrainian authorities embarked on exterminating everything Russian, and then on instrument to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia in the interests of the West, on the battlefield.

Similarly, Lavrov assured that most of the sanctions against Russia will remain in place after the conflict is over, as the West wants to buy time and re-arm Ukraine.

That is why we must produce everything independently, so that no new whim, in case they want to launch against us with sanctions, will make us suffer, he added while addressing the plenary of the international forum Primakov’s Readings.

All this interweaving of Washington’s war actions and sanctions has led to the destruction of almost the entire system of arms control agreements, the Russian Foreign Minister said. “I don’t know what historians will call this period, but the fact that thanks to the United States almost the entire set of arms control agreements has been destroyed is a fact, hundreds and hundreds of pages have already been written about it,” the Russian Foreign Minister asserted.

Lavrov added that he would “treat with the greatest possible responsibility” the current period of world history.

Rusia sin planes agresivos contra Europa, refiere canciller Lavrov

Moscú, 27 nov (Prensa Latina) Rusia no ha elaborado, ni tampoco hará planes de agresión y conquista en Europa, dijo hoy en la jornada inaugural del foro Internacional Lecturas de Primakov, el canciller de la nación euroasiática, Serguéi Lavrov.

El titular de la diplomacia rusa recordó que el jefe del Pentágono, Lloyd Austin, afirmó de forma irresponsable que si Rusia ganaba en el conflicto de Ucrania no se detendría y seguiría hacia los Bálticos, Polonia y otros vecinos.

“Esto lo dice una persona que ocupa un cargo de responsabilidad y que no puede sino recibir evaluaciones de expertos, que analizan el estado de las cosas entre Moscú y Washington y que seguramente comprenden qué es exactamente lo que se está decidiendo en Ucrania”, subrayó Lavrov.

El canciller refirió que la razón principal de la operación militar especial en Ucrania era que las autoridades de ese país se embarcaron en exterminar todo lo ruso, y después en instrumento para infligir una derrota estratégica a Rusia en interés de Occidente, en el campo de batalla.

Igualmente, Lavrov aseguró que la mayoría de las sanciones contra Rusia se mantendrán después de que termine el conflicto, pues Occidente quiere ganar tiempo y volver a armar a Ucrania.

Es por ello que debemos producir todo de forma independiente, para que ningún nuevo capricho, en caso de que quieran lanzarse contra nosotros con sanciones, nos haga sufrir, añadió al intervenir en el plenario del foro internacional Lecturas de Primakov.

Todo este entretejido de acciones bélicas y sanciones de Washington han llevado a la destrucción de casi todo el sistema de acuerdos de control de armas, afirmó el ministro de Asuntos Exteriores de Rusia.

“No sé cómo llamarán los historiadores a este período, pero el hecho de que gracias a Estados Unidos se ha destruido casi todo el conjunto de acuerdos de control de armas es un hecho, ya se han escrito cientos y cientos de páginas sobre ello”, aseveró el canciller ruso.

Lavrov añadió que “trataría con la mayor responsabilidad posible” el período actual de la historia mundial.
