Japan solidarity movement pays tribute to Fidel Castro

Tokyo, Nov 29 (Prensa Latina) Japanese representatives of the movement of solidarity and friendship with Cuba as well as members of the Cuban diplomatic staff and other countries paid tribute on Wednesday to Fidel Castro, on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of his death.

The event was held at the Cuban Embassy, with attendance by Dr. Antonio Castro, son of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Castro recalled personal anecdotes that testify the human quality and greatness of his father, Cuba´s Foreign Ministry (MINREX) reported.

He also remarked the validity of Fidel Castro’s thought and appreciated Japan´s permanent solidarity.

Incidentally, the head of business and head of the official mission, Katia Monzon, stressed that internationalism and international solidarity constituted a sacred duty for Fidel, who passed away on November 25, 2016.
