Lopez Obrador satisfied with his choice of Mexico’s military command

Mexico City, Dec 1 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador today boasted of having chosen General Luis Cresencio Sandoval and Admiral Rafael Ojeda to head the Secretariats of Defense and the Navy.

He gave high praise to both officials during his morning press conference at the National Palace while presenting videos of the completion of the modern Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in the tourist area of Tulum, and said he was not mistaken in choosing them for these high positions of such responsibility.

He said that both secretariats have greatly helped his government of the Fourth Transformation to make true the reforms that have been implemented during these five years in office.

He particularly highlighted the great works they have carried out, such as the Felipe Ángeles airports in the State of Mexico built by military engineers, a large section of the Mayan Train that is about to be inaugurated, all the cooperative part, two thousand 749 branches of the Welfare Bank in the country, including mountain ranges and the most remote towns so that senior citizens can collect their pensions.

He recalled the armed forces guarded and distributed 250 million doses of vaccines in five months and thanks to this and support from brigades, more than 12 million senior citizens were vaccinated in five months.

And now with the tragedy in Acapulco, it is the Armed Forces with the National Guard who are waging the main battle in the recovery, cleaning, custody and distribution of food and household items to the victims, who cover more than 250 thousand homes, and 16,500 elements remain there for these humanitarian tasks.
