Displaced by floods return to their homes in Uruguay

Montevideo, Dec 10 (Prensa Latina) The Uruguay River recovers its level and the return of those displaced by floods, continues in several departments of the country .

The National Emergency System (SINAE) announced that the waters of the Uruguay river are already below safety level in the departments of Artigas, Paysandú and Salto. Several localities in these northwestern departments were flooded and more than 5,000 people were forced to leave their homes.

The situation is tending to normalize, although 1,920 persons are still displaced, according to SINAE.
