According to Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Mao Ning, President Xi Jinping’s Special Envoy Wu Weihua, who attended the inauguration of Argentine President Javier Milei, met with him in Buenos Aires, and both stressed the potential of such cooperation.

Wu, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, conveyed to Milei “warm congratulations and best wishes” from Xi Jinping.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Milei stressed that the new Government of Argentina attaches high importance to its relations with Beijing and will firmly respect the one-China principle.

Xi Jinping recently congratulated Milei and advocated for working to deepen bilateral ties.
