Havana, Dec 19 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel denounced today that the government of Israel mercilessly massacres the Palestinian people and challenges the international community with its escalation of abuses.

“The terrorist government of #Israel challenges the international community every day with its escalating abuses and crimes against #Palestine,” wrote the president in his account on the social network X, formerly Twitter.

Through that platform the head of state added that the Israeli executive is ‘massacring a people without mercy and without limits’ and asked until when impunity will continue, along with the hashtag #FreePalestine.

The Cuban president has repeatedly condemned Israel’s attacks against the Gaza Strip, where more than 19,400 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the aggression on October 7.

Last November, Diaz-Canel led a march held in Havana in solidarity with the Palestinian people and attended a cantata in which renowned Cuban artists called ‘For a Free Palestine’, and for peace and justice for the population of Gaza.

The official news agency Wafa denounced Tuesday massive air strikes against the southern cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis, where 25 citizens were killed, many of them women and children, and added that five other minors were killed by bombs in the area of Al-Hasayneh, west of the Nuseirat refugee camp.

According to the source, an unknown number of people were also killed in a series of raids east and north of Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah.

Likewise, a survey by the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor showed that more than 71 percent of Gazans suffer from acute levels of hunger due to Israeli aggression against the coastal enclave, which includes a policy of total blockade.
