The incessant military exercises of the US and its allies are clearly targeting the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and are major factors that aggravate the regional situation, Kim said.

However, the United Nations Security Council once again orchestrated a controversial scenario to question only our right to self-defense by turning a blind eye on the provocations by Washington and South Korea that served as an incentive to trigger the DPRK’s reaction.

It thus laid bare its true facade of uselessness and impotence for international peace and security, she added.

Kim said the UN Security Council should hold the US and South Korea accountable, as they have aggraviated situation on the Korean peninsula with their provocative military action in different ways all year long by taking a confrontational stance against the DPRK.

The hostile forces would do well to meditate from now on how the DPRK will determine and judge the upcoming military confrontation scripts announced by Washington.
