Another Russian child dies in Ukrainian terrorist attack on Belgorod

Moscow, Dec 31 (Prensa Latina) Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of Belgorod Oblast, on Sunday lamented the death of another child, totaling 24 deaths as Ukrainian terrorist attacks increased in the central region of this Russian border city on Saturday.

As a result of mass shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces, 24 people were killed. Forensic experts determined that another child died, one wounded also died, Gladkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

An estimated 13 artillery shells were fired on Sunday in the village of Shchetinovka, and in Zhuravlevka, Krasni Khutor, and Naumovka, two explosive devices were dropped from an unmanned aerial vehicle. “There were no casualties and destruction in any of the settlements,” he added.

According to the government, 37 buildings with 453 apartments, three private houses, and seven social facilities were destroyed, and the owners of 53 damaged cars were identified.

The Russian Defense Ministry previously announced that some 20,000 air defense personnel will be on combat duty on holidays until January 8.

The military institution informed us that 1,800 soldiers will spend New Year’s Eve on combat duty; they have completed all preparatory activities.
