Russian Armed Forces acquire new self-propelled artillery system

Moscow, Jan 5 (Prensa Latina) The Russian Armed Forces received the first deliveries of the new Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled artillery system, the RosTec state corporation reported.

“The system has advantages over Western artillery models in terms of firing range. This long-awaited vehicle will take the country’s combat capabilities to a new level,” the RosTec Public Relations department said.

Koalitsiya-SV (GRAU index 2S35) is equipped with a 152-millimeter main gun and has a rate of fire of over 10 rounds per minute, and is equipped with a modern automated targeting and navigation system.

The self-propelled howitzer is based on the chassis of the T-90 tank and is designed to destroy all types of ground targets at a distance of up to 70 kilometers.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu previously stated that the military operation in Ukraine is an example of Russia’s military supremacy over the West.
