The five most punctual Latin American airlines are listed

Brussels, Jan 14 (Prensa Latina) A survey by the world's leading aviation data firm Cirium determined the five most punctual airlines in Latin America, a version that today is reported by most media linked to transportation and tourism.

In addition, the European digital publication Caribbean News Digital also publishes the list of these transport companies.

The comments indicate that one of the main challenges for airlines and airports is the punctuality of flights, which is also a source of prestige and confidence for travelers.

Every year Cirium prepares a report in which it judges the punctuality of airlines. The data managed by this company is obtained from more than 600 real-time information sources that cover airlines, global distribution systems, and civil authorities.

Although the Cirium Platinum Award was won by Delta Air Lines for the third consecutive time, the position of most punctual airline in the world is Avianca Airlines based in Bogotá, Colombia.

Cirium CEO Jeremy Bowen highlights the great effort of airlines and airports that overcame the year’s operational obstacles with exceptional performance.

His relentless pursuit of efficiency and punctuality is commendable as we head into 2024, a year full of promise for the aviation sector, he stressed.

Furthermore, although Avianca Airlines achieved the highest percentage of on-time arrival of its flights with 85.73 percent, it can be understood that Delta Airlines reached the award with 84.72 percent because the North American airline had more than 1.6 million flights compared to the 213,039 of the Colombian airline, the report states.

In Latin America, the most prominent is Copa Airlines with 89.46 percent of flight arrivals on time, this makes it the first position in the ranking.

Therefore, according to Cirium, the most punctual in Latin America are Copa Airlines (89.46 percent), Avianca Airlines (85.73), Azul Airlines (85.51), LATAM Airlines (84), and Caribbean Airlines (81.73).
