Argentinian President and British FM to meet in Switzerland

Buenos Aires, Jan 16 (Prensa Latina) Argentine President Javier Milei will meet in Switzerland with British Foreign Affairs Minister David Cameron, Casa Rosada Spokesman Manuel Adorni said.

At a press conference, Adorni noted that the meeting will take place within the framework of the Davos Economic Forum, and the Argentine head of State will also meet with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva.

The meeting with Georgieva is scheduled for Wednesday and will take place after an exchange between IMF representatives and Argentinean Cabinet Chief Nicolás Posse and the Minister of Economy Luis Caputo on Tuesday.

Milei will speak at the Forum on Wednesday and will return to Argentina on Friday.

Additionally, Adorni said that the President will be received by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on February 11, during a visit to that European country.

Last week, the President sent a letter to Pope Francis inviting him to come to Argentina and, through the Foreign Affairs Ministry, he expressed his intention to participate in the solemn mass for the canonization of María Antonia de San José, to be held at St. Peter’s Basilica on Febrary 11.
