Germany rejects motion to send Taurus missiles to Ukraine

Berlin, Jan 18 (Prensa Latina) Opponents of the German Government have rejected a motion to send long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine, Kronen Zeitung newspaper reported Thursday.

The proposal by the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Christian Social Union (CSU), presented at the Bundestag (Lower House of the German Parliament), garnered 485 votes against and 178 in favor.

The German media also recalled Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s hesitation regarding the proposal to provide Ukraine with Taurus cruise missiles.
