The minister emphasized that the process is against the entire “parallel criminal state” that controlled this country from 2012 to 2022, which is the accusation that sets the pattern on how El Salvador will confront this terrorist organization. These people are responsible for homicides, disappearances, extortion, human trafficking, trafficking and drug possession, carrying or driving a firearms, among others.

Experts in these processes indicate that the trial that begins here is unprecedented and would be above the Maxiprocesso that paralyzed Italy in the 80’s against the Sicilian mafia.
