ICAIC 65th Anniversary poster contest called in Cuba

Havana, Jan 25 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industries (ICAIC) and the #CartelON Project are calling today upon Cuban designers and design students to participate in the ICAIC 65th Anniversary Poster Contest.

The deadline for entries will be until March 1, according to Cubacine, in a contest that will be held on March 24 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the founding of this vanguard institution of the seventh art in Cuba.

Posters have played an important role in the history of the Institute, which was recognized last December by UNESCO when it granted the Cuban Film Poster Collection the status of Memory of the World.

According to the rules of this contest, up to three proposals may be submitted per participant and they must allude to the significant date and include the texts “ICAIC 65 YEARS” and “#PorElCineCubano”.

The proposals must be designed for production in silkscreen (flat colors, without gradient), 50×70 cm format (2 cm diaphragm), vertical design including the designer’s signature and the year (2024).
