Jameson Black Barrel whiskey for the first time on the Cuban market

Havana, Jan 30 (Prensa Latina) There is a new product in the Havana Club International (HCI) catalog in Cuba, Jameson Black Barrel, an Irish whiskey with an interesting history of production and aging, aimed at exquisite consumers.

In statements to Prensa Latina, HCI’s Marketing and Communications director for the Cuban market, Yuniel Delgado, explained that the drink is part of the wide range of Pernord Ricard’s (foreign partner) portfolio and joins the portfolio marketed by Havana Club in Cuba.

Jameson Black Barrel has a specific and complex production method that makes it a unique product, located in the ultra-premium segment, a whiskey introduced to the international market about two years ago, he said.

About the history of Irish whiskey, he said that it dates back some 200 years, and among the singularities of its production is the triple distillation and broad combinations that include barley, rye, wheat, and even corn.

Delgado explained that the Jameson brand has been present in the Cuban market for some years and has captivated consumers by showing a sensory profile familiar to Cuban rums, but in the case of Black Barrel the complexity goes beyond that.
