Earlier, the Norwegian lawmaker cited the Colombian president’s work for achieving peace, which he described as an “inspiration” for the world.

Efforts to help Colombia achieve peace are being acknowledged by the United Nations.

The latest report drawn up by the Verification Mission of this multilateral organization, published in early 2024, highlighted the progress reached in implementing the 2016 Final Agreement and the importance of dialogue initiatives to resolve the conflicts.
