In a statement, Syria´s Foreign Ministry assured that the US forces threaten international peace and security by attacking other countries and violating their sovereignty and international law.

These attacks dangerously escalate tensions in the Middle East, and violate Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Foreign Ministry reported.

The ministry cleared up that the US airstrikes happened over the region where the Syrian army is fighting off DAESH, so it demonstrates Washington’s intention to revive terrorism.

Damascus condemns such an aggression and categorically rejects all excuses and lies promoted by the US administration, the statement stressed.

Joe Biden’s administration does not respect the UN Charter or the principles of international law, and constantly seeks to support its mercenaries from terrorist groups it created.

Washington keeps some fifteen military bases on Syrian territory without the consent of Damascus government or the approval of the United Nations, facilities which have been attacked with missiles and drones more than 150 times over the past three months, in response to US support for the Israel-committed genocide over Gaza.
