Caracas, Feb 4 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed its deepest condolences to the people of Namibia and its honorable government for the death today of President Hage G. Geingob, in Windhoek.

Geingob has been an example of struggle for the sovereignty and independence of our Mother Africa and a great friend of Venezuela, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement.

The statement acknowledged that his devotion gave to the Namibian people the democratic spirit established in its Magna Carta, to provide the greatest possible happiness to his nation, on the basis of justice, respect and equality.

Venezuela conveyed its solidarity in “this moment of pain” at the physical departure of this great leader, extended to his family, friends, members of the SWAPO party and the Namibian people, for whom “we wish comfort and strength, remembering his courage and loyalty in the fight against injustice”.

That is why his memory will remain alive in the noble causes of the world, he assured.

The Foreign Ministry affirmed that the legacy of “brother president” Hage G. Geingob will always be preserved in the hearts of the Venezuelan people. ” May he rest in peace, eternal glory!”, the ministry stated.
