President and FM celebrate Venezuelan Youth Day

Caracas, Feb 12 (Prensa Latina) President Nicolás Maduro congratulated Venezuelan youths on their day, which commemorates 210 years since the battle of La Victoria, led by General José Félix Ribas.

Today we celebrate the youths who every day surprise us with “their talent and determination,” the head of State said on his X account.

Maduro pointed out that this generation is at the height of the young people who, under the command of General Ribas, “defeated the invading army” in the epic battle of La Victoria.

“Happy Day Heroic Youth!” he stressed.

In another post in the same social network, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil recalled the date and noted that a group of “brave young patriots” under the leadership of José Félix Ribas and Vicente Campo Elías defied the royalist army with courage and determination.

He pointed out that this date is propitious to recognize the fundamental role played by young people in the construction of a more just society.

The foreign minister also celebrated the launching of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, an initiative to protect and support Venezuelan youths in the realization of their dreams and life projects.

He emphasized that this mission represents “a significant step” towards the empowerment and integral development of our young people by ensuring that they have the necessary tools and support to achieve their goals.

“Happy Youth Day to all the youth of the Homeland!” he stressed.
