Just a week ago, on the last day of the event, held in Havana, the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Center for International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD) of France, rounded out a projection that has been brewing for more than a decade.

The official Facebook page of the UC stated that “representing the Parisian institution was Magalie Jannoyer, Regional Director of Antilles-Guyana, while Santiago Lajes Choy, rector, and Yailé Caballero Mota, Director of International Relations, were present on behalf of your institution”.

The post also stated that “this framework agreement will facilitate the planning and execution of joint projects and research, as well as exchanges and training of researchers from both institutions”.

Precisely, the links with European academies also focused on Belgium with an exchange between “a delegation from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium, and colleagues from the Central University “Marta Abreu” from Las Villas – UCLV.”
