Russia considers statements on Navalny’s death unacceptable

Moscow, Feb 16 (Prensa Latina) Russia considers that the statements by the West on the death of blogger Alekséi Navalny are hysterical and absolutely unacceptable, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitri Peskov said on Friday.

The official pointed out that there is still no information on the cause of his death, neither from doctors nor from forensic experts. “There is no definite information from the Federal Penitentiary Service,” he reminded.

Asked whether the Kremlin will react to the situation, Peskov asserted that “the Federal Penitentiary Service is reacting.”

“We have said everything, the president was informed, moreover, the Federal Penitentiary Service is doing everything that needs to be done,” he concluded.

The Federal Penitentiary Service of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported that on February 16 in Penitentiary three, Aleksey Navalny felt unwell after taking a walk, after which he almost immediately lost consciousness.

Despite all the efforts by the institution’s doctors and ambulance staff, they failed to resuscitate him.
