Lack of support to vulnerable sectors will be denounced in Argentina

Buenos Aires, Feb 17 (Prensa Latina) The Argentine movement Somos Barrios de Pie confirmed that it will hold a protest in front of the Ministry of Economy to denounce the lack of support from the Government in the face of the existing food emergency.

The mobilization will take place on Monday at 11:00, local time, and participants will condemn the cuts in resources targeted to thousands of soup kitchens that serve vulnerable people.

In addition, a group of citizens will go to the entrance of the Newman country house, where the head of this State portfolio, Luis Caputo, lives.

The emergency is worsening daily in the popular neighborhoods. We have already carried out numerous demonstrations to obtain answers from the Government, which has frozen the delivery of food to soup kitchens, a statement from this organization says.

Months ago we denounced the growth of hunger, but we did not perceive any willingness to build dialogue and seek solutions for those who are going through this delicate situation, it adds.

In this way, the group referred to several demonstrations to condemn the lack of support to the citizens who need it most, among them those carried out in front of the Ministry of Human Capital, the Libertador Hotel (where President Javier Milei was staying) and the presidential residence in Olivos, among other places.
