U.S. sanctions against Russia sterile, DPRK says

eeuu-rusia-768x504-1
Pyongyang, Feb 26 (Prensa Latina) The US sanctions against Russia, because of its conflict in Ukraine have a counterproductive effect, a commentator of international affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) affirmed today.

In an article reproduced by the state news agency KCNA, Ro Ju Hyon pointed out that while the Russian economy grew in the two years of the operation, that of Western countries incurred multi-billion dollar losses that are sure to increase with the package of punitive measures announced on the 23rd.

The worn-out sanctions club and the new bullying of Washington and its allies only cause laughter, the commentator said, especially since “Zelensky’s puppet gang is at a disadvantage situation on the battlefield”.

He recalled that a few days ago a senior Ukrainian official told the US media that in case of war in the future, the US would need allies to fight against enemies such as Russia, China, Iran, and the DPRK.

Ro Ju Hyon asserted that this offer was so absurd that it surely surprised even Washington and only showed Kiev’s willingness to provide cannon meat.

We advise [the Zelensky government] to exercise restraint because there would be no point for the DPRK, a world-class nuclear power, to compete with a weak country like Ukraine, he warned.
