Speaking at the 55th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC), the senior diplomat denounced that this is being done without even considering the most sacred for all people, every family, of every father and mother: the children.
Gil affirmed that ‘the future of an entire people is being exterminated with impunity’ before the complicit silence of a ‘paralyzed and inoperative’ international bureaucracy.
He stated this same bureaucracy is, however, very active when it involves attacking and slandering sovereign countries such as Venezuela, by instrumentalizing human rights at its convenience.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister stressed that the world continues to witness the widening of deep inequalities, inequities and exclusions, with hegemonic countries maintaining their agendas of domination and exploitation against the peoples of the South.
He said these countries resort to the imposition of ‘unilateral, illegal, criminal and extortionist coercive measures’ against economies and peoples, which block access to food, medicines, essential goods and services, and affecting millions of people’s full enjoyment of their human rights.
Venezuela, he said, has been the victim of almost a thousand criminal sanctions and other impositions used as tools to destroy its economy and force, unsuccessfully, a regime change, and emphasized that this flagrantly violates international law.

Venezuela cuestionó incapacidad de detener masacre en Palestina
Ginebra, 27 feb (Prensa Latina) El canciller de Venezuela, Yán Gil, tildó hoy de vergonzosa la incapacidad actual del sistema internacional para detener la continuada masacre y violación masiva de los derechos humanos contra el pueblo de Palestina.
Al intervenir en la 55ª Sesión del Consejo de Derechos Humanos (DDHH) de las Naciones Unidas, el alto diplomático denunció que eso se realiza sin siquiera reparar en lo más sagrado de todo pueblo, de toda familia, de todo padre y madre: los niños.
Gil afirmo que ‘se está exterminando impunemente’ el futuro de un pueblo entero ante el silencio cómplice de una burocracia internacional ‘paralítica e inoperante’.
Afirmó que esta misma burocracia es, sin embargo, muy activa cuando se trata de atacar y calumniar países soberanos como Venezuela, al instrumentalizar los derechos humanos a su conveniencia.
El ministro venezolano para Relaciones Exteriores subrayó que en el mundo se sigue constatando la ampliación de profundas desigualdades, inequidades y exclusiones, con países hegemónicos que mantienes sus agendas de dominación y explotación contra los pueblos del Sur.
Manifestó que estos apelan a la imposición de ‘medidas coercitivas unilaterales, ilegales, criminales y extorsivas’ contra las economías y pueblos, que bloquean el acceso de los alimentos, medicinas, bienes y servicios esenciales, y afectan el disfrute pleno de los DDHH de millones de personas.
Venezuela, expresó, ha sido víctima de casi mil sanciones criminales y otras imposiciones utilizadas como herramientas para destruir su economía y forzar, sin éxito, un cambio de régimen, y enfatizó que eso viola de manera flagrante el derecho internacional.
