Cuban FM condemns deaths of babies in Gaza due to malnutrition

Havana, Feb 28 (Prensa Latina) Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez charged on Wednesday that in just 24 hours, seven Palestinian babies died of malnutrition, and Israel's bombings on civilians and the obstacles to the entry of aid have aggravated the health situation.

On his X account, Rodríguez reiterated his rejection of the genocide of the Palestinian people and called for peace.

Gaza Health Ministry Spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra confirmed on Tuesday the deaths of several infants in the northern region of the Gaza Strip due to dehydration and malnutrition.

Al-Qudra called on international institutions to conduct a comprehensive medical survey of shelters in Gaza to monitor and treat those suffering from dehydration and malnutrition, especially thousands of children and pregnant women, and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.

At present, no organization has managed to protect the health system in the Gaza Strip, and 30 of its 35 hospitals are out of service due to Israel’s aggression.
