Houthis to target ships bound to or from Israel

Sanaa, Mar 3 (Prensa Latina) The leadership of the Houthi movement, based in this capital, announced that it will continue attacks against merchant ships carrying goods and merchandise to or from Israel, hours after the sinking of one of its targets.

Hours ago, the UK-owned Rubymar sank to the bottom of the Red Sea with its cargo of thousands of tons of fertilizer, after several weeks of agony after being hit by Houthi gunfire, during which no one took the risk of refloating it.

The sinking of the ship is a cause for concern for both shipowners and businessmen who ship cargoes through the Red Sea, the natural access to Egypt’s Suez Canal, through which some 15% of the world’s maritime trade passes.
