Marches against racism organized in the United Kingdom

London, Mar 16 (Prensa Latina) Hundreds of people are participating in protests against racist practices of the current government of the British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, called by trade unions and the organization Rise Against Racism, according to local press.

The demonstrations, which will last until tomorrow, denounce the practices of the Conservative executive to undermine the rights, above all, of the Muslim community, and to delegitimize the peace movements, amid the genocide practiced by Israel in Gaza.

In this way, the organizers of the protests denounce the label of extremist given by the right-wing cabinet to the Association of Muslims in the United Kingdom, according to the Morning Star newspaper.

In addition, trade unions and anti-racist organizations consider the government’s attitude of allowing racist expressions by Conservative party members in Parliament to be indulgent, and speak out against the deportation of immigrants to Rwanda.

Similarly, the organizers of the rallies in this capital, Glasgow and Cardiff opposed Zunak’s attempts to label as “hate rallies” the demonstrations to reject the extermination of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv forces killed more than 31,100 Palestinians and wounded another 80,000 in Gaza since October 7, when the military wing of the Hamas resistance movement carried out operations in several Israeli cities, after more than 70 years of occupation.
