The Attorney General, Miriam German Brito, informed that the search continues in the affected areas of the prison in view of the possibility that there may be more victims of the fire which occurred last Monday due to a short circuit.
Brito regretted the situation and expressed her solidarity with the victims and their families through a press release.
She also thanked the collaboration of the Defense Ministry and the Air Force which provided helicopters to extinguish the fire which lasted almost 11 hours, the fire departments of the different municipalities, the Civil Defense, the Army, the National Police and the 911 Emergency System.
