“On the Donetsk Front, units of the Southern group launched successful actions, occupying more advantageous positions, and capturing the Alebastrovaya Railway Station in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the statement from the Defense Ministry pointed out.

The 79th, 46th and 81st Airborne Brigade of Ukraine’s Armed Forces had been defeated in the areas of Belogorovka, Razdolovka, Krasnoye, Novomikhailovka and Georgievka settlements in Donetsk,” the statement added.

The Ministry explained that on Wednesday, Ukraine’s Armed Forces lost up to 250 servicemen, two tanks, three armored fighting vehicles and seven cars in the sector.

In addition, two Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery systems, one Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, one Gvozdika self-propelled gun and one D-20 howitzer had been destroyed during counter-battery actions.
