Zelenski changes the secretary of the national security council

Kiev, Mar 26 (Prensa Latina) The president of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelenski, today appointed the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Aleksandr Litvinenko, as the new secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of the country, replacing Aleksei Danylov.

According to the statement published on Tuesday on the head of state’s website, Zelensky, in the same order, decided to dismiss Litvinenko from the post he had been holding until then, in order for him to take up the new post assigned to him.

For its part, the Ukrainian press speculated that Danilov’s dismissal could be due to his obscene distortion of the name of the Special Representative of the People’s Republic of China for Eurasia, Li Hui. The new secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, since July 2021, headed the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

Litvinenko has several higher education qualifications, including a degree from the Royal College of Defence Studies in the United Kingdom.

During the presidency of Pyotr Poroshenko, he was deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, and before that he worked in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU for its Ukrainian acronym).
