DPRK’s PM oversees paramount factories and tasks

Pyongyang, Apr 2 (Prensa Latina) Prime Minister Kim Tok Hun toured several factories in South Hamgyong and oversaw the progress of paramount economic tasks in that central-eastern province of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

As reported on Tuesday by the State News KCNA Agency, Kim Tok Hun, member of the Political Bureau of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and deputy chair of the State Affairs Committee, visited construction sites in Kumya and Hamju districts, which are essential for the breakthrough of local industry.

One of the factories he toured was Vinalon, a synthetic fiber of high domestic use that is produced by an indigenous method from anthracite and limestone.

The PM further passed by the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, which is crucial for agriculture, and Ryongsong Machinery, which has recently introduced over 150 inventions and innovations, including a new method of casting large parts.

The leader swung by the construction site of the Tanchon Hydroelectric Power Station, a key to supplying power to the territory, and called for its timely completion.

In the city of Tanchon, Kim Tok Hun visited the magnesia factory, the non-ferrous metal smelter and the Sangnong mine.

The PM further checked the production of several agricultural farms in the province, where he called for taking all precautions to protect them from possible natural disasters and to apply scientific methods of planting, cultivation and harvesting, in accordance with the guidelines of the WPK.
