The director of the Agroindustrial Institute of Northwest Argentina (ITA-NOA) said that BioHabana 2024, an event that opened on Monday at the Plaza America Convention Center, in the Cuban coastal resort of Varadero, allows the transfer of knowledge and the results of research for better scientific development.
I have been visiting Cuba for three decades, when I was studying for my doctorate at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), and I have been able to see the constant progress of science in the country through working relations with Cuban universities in provinces like Havana, Ciego de Avila, and with research centers where progress is undeniable, he said.
Castagnaro pointed out that he currently maintains a close relationship with the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB), with which he is working on a number of cooperation and development projects for the portfolio of products sponsored by the Cuban center.
According to the agronomist, there is also a close relationship between him and the Biocubafarma business group, with which there have been an exchange of personnel in 15 years of work, so that both Argentine and Cuban professionals can have an integral development.
