The president shared that after the arrival in Cuban ports of batches of rice through June, and the existence of wheat needed to guarantee flour for bread in the next quarter.

According to the Domestic Minister Trade Betsy Diaz and the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Oscar Perez-Oliva, there are contracts inked that guarantee the commercialization of those demanded inputs.

Betsy Diaz added that coffee, oil, chicken, and rice were favored in April by a donation sent from China and three other countries, which will allow an upsurge in the delivery to consumers.

The head of State explained the stepped-up efforts made by the Government to deliver the commodity bundle uninterruptedly, and recalled the huge pressures exerted by the U.S. blockade against Cuba.
