Vuong Dinh Hue’s visit to China will follow the working one made last March by the secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the head of its Foreign Relations Commission, Le Hoai Trung.
Hoai Trung assured during a dialogue with members of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Cai Qi, and Wang Yi, director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission, that the CPV, the State, and the Vietnamese people appreciate the positive evolution of bilateral ties in all fields.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening high-level contacts, promoting exchange between party committees at the central and grassroots levels, fostering cooperative ties in the economy, trade, and traffic connection, and consolidating a good social foundation for relations between both nations.
The Chinese officials, in turn, expressed their satisfaction with the substantial progress achieved in ties in all sectors.
In recent statements to Vietnamese media, Chinese ambassador Xiong Bo classified the establishment of a community with a shared future between both countries as a crucial political achievement. “This has strategic importance to define a new position in bilateral relations and open an unprecedented chapter in the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations,” he said.
According to the diplomat, “It can be said that this is a historic event in the ties between the two Parties and countries, and it will certainly have a profound impact on the development of these ties in the future.”
