During the signing of the book of condolences at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic in this capital, León emphasized that such aggression by Israel is a flagrant violation of Syrian sovereignty and the norms and laws of international law.

According to a press release to which Prensa Latina had access, the diplomat conveyed sincere condolences to the authorities of the Islamic Republic, extended to the families of the victims and the brother Iranian people, on behalf of the Cuban Government and people.

In this regard, León pointed out that Cuba considers that these actions that increase the risk of escalation and regionalization of the conflict with unpredictable consequences are unacceptable.

A week ago, Israel destroyed the Iranian Consulate in the Syrian capital, killing 11 people, including seven soldiers from the Islamic Republic.
