According to the FSB statement, “during an operation a resident of the Zaporozhie region was detained, who was supplying explosives for other criminals to prepare a terrorist act against Russian servicemen”.

It was established that the resident of that region received a stockpile of explosives from Ukrainian special service agents for storage and transfer to members of a sabotage and reconnaissance group.

The FSB detailed, that “Following the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, the terrorist bought the necessary components for the manufacture of a Molotov cocktail, and carried out the equipping of a new cache to transfer the specific items to the potential executors of terrorist acts.

The Investigation Department initiated a criminal case under part 3 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (collaboration to terrorist activities) against the detainee.

During the search of the suspect’s home, the specialists found and seized three TNT explosives of 400 grams each and components purchased for the manufacture of an incendiary mixture.
