President Diaz Canel accepts resignation of Cienfuegos Governor

Havana, Apr 24 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canel accepted the resignation request presented by the Governor of Cienfuegos, Alexandre Corona Quintero, who acknowledged errors committed in the exercise of his responsibility, local media reported on Wednesday.

According to a report in the Cienfuegos 5 de Septiembre newspaper, the head of State approved the completion of the governor’s functions, informing the Provincial Council and the delegates, through the presidents of the municipal assemblies of the People’s Power.
