Hungary considers NATO as active member in the Ukrainian conflict

Budapest, Apr 25 (Prensa Latina) The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is becoming more and more an active participant in the Ukrainian conflict, the head of the Hungarian government's office, Gergely Gulyás, declared on Thursday.

The new situation is connected with the fact that, if NATO states are separately involved in the assistance to the war actions, now this alliance is preparing to become an active player in this confrontation, the Hungarian politician pointed out.

NATO wants to provide financial aid to Ukraine, in addition to supplying weapons and training the Ukrainian army.

Moreover, leaders of the European Union, including the French President Emmanuel Macron are now openly talking about the pressing need to send soldiers to Ukraine, the head of Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s office denounced.

The Hungarian government is deeply concerned about these events, as the European aid started with the sending of troops and now includes the most advanced and powerful weapons systems, he said.

The events around Russia are taking place in a worst-case scenario, which could lead to a new world conflagration, since West and Russia, with nuclear weapons, are already in conflict, Gulyás was quoted as saying on television in this city.

For such a reason, NATO must avoid a direct armed clash with Moscow, the Hungarian politician underlined, who informed about the permanent consultations of his cabinet with the general staff of that block in Europe.
