Indian media highlight visit of national security advisor to Russia

New Delhi, Apr 25 (Prensa Latina) Indian media highlighted the visit to Russia of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, who met with Nikolai Patrushev, secretary of the Federation Security Council, among other activities.

According to an official statement, at the 12th International Meeting of Senior Officials Responsible for Security Affairs in St. Petersburg, Russia, Doval highlighted India’s strategic focus on using digital technology for inclusive economic progress.

During his speech at the plenary session on “Ensuring information security in a polycentric world”, the Indian authority called for global collaboration to establish an open, stable, reliable, and inclusive environment with that objective.

Doval also called for an open, stable, secure, and reliable international cooperation and an inclusive framework to ensure information security, according to an official statement.

The roadmap for such collaboration must include all stakeholders, from governments to the private sector, academia, technical communities, and civil society, India’s National Security Advisor explained and detailed how-to guide strengthening those linkages.

The NSA reaffirmed India’s commitment to continue its support in the fight to counterterrorist financing, and the misuse of information and communications technologies by terrorists and criminals.

Doval reviewed with Patrushev the progress in bilateral cooperation in a meeting during which they also discussed important issues of mutual interest.
