Russian oil refinery suspends operations after Ukraine drone attack

Moscow, April 27 (Prensa Latina) The Slavyansk oil refinery in Russia´s Krasnodar region has been forced to suspend some operation after being ravaged in a Ukrainian drone attack, the security director of Slavyansk companies, Eduard Trúdnev, announced on Saturday.

The oil refinery´s operation has been put on hold, since 10 drones hit it and a strong fire broke out. It is possible imperceptible damage are reported, Trúdnev told the TASS news agency.

Trudnev pointed out that different security agencies are currently working at the site, so the commission in charge of assessing damage and planning repairs has not yet been able to start working.

On Saturday morning, Ukraine attempted to commit “a large-scale terrorist drone attack” over facilities in the Krasnodar region.

According to the Krasnodar Governor, Veniamín Kondratiev, over 10 drones were shot down in the Slavyansk, Seversk and Kuschióvskaya districts.

The target of the attack, which caused no injuries, was an oil refinery and infrastructure facilities. The head of the Slavyansk district Román Siniagovski, on the other hand, reported that Kyiv had tried to attack a tank park and a fractionation tower. Pll/rgh/gfa
