Lebanese resistance shoots soldiers in Israeli settlement

Beirut, April 29 (Prensa Latina) Lebanese Resistance (Hizbullah) fighters fired today at Israeli soldiers located in buildings in the settlement of Metula, in response to recent attacks in the southern towns of Khiam and Shebaa.

Through a statement, the movement confirmed the direct impact of the attack on Israeli troops, in the continuation of their operations in support of the people of the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian Resistance.

On this day, Hizbullah announced the strike with artillery weapons and missiles against the enemy base of Khirbet Maar, the bunkers, and the deployment of uniformed personnel and vehicles in its surroundings.

The Lebanese Resistance also attacked a gathering of Israeli soldiers near the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site, in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kfar Shuba.

On the same date, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, claimed responsibility for the bombing from southern Lebanon of the command headquarters of the 769 Eastern Brigade in Camp Jibor, belonging to the Israeli army.

Regarding the actions on the Lebanese front, Channel 12 in Hebrew reported the impact of three anti-tank missiles on houses in the Metula settlement, located 1.5 kilometers from the border village of Al-Amari.

The Israeli media acknowledged the launching of 40 rockets from Lebanon towards the Galilee region since the morning.

In this regard, the Upper Galilee Council decided to close the road from the Tel Hai intersection towards Metula, due to the firing of anti-tank fire from the Lebanese south.

In this context, the military correspondent of the Hebrew website Wallah commented that Hizbullah insists on linking the fighting in northern Israel with the Tel Aviv army’s war in the Gaza Strip.
