Cuba’s prime minister attends 69th UN Tourism Americas meeting

Varadero, Cuba, Apr 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero attended the 69th meeting of the United Nations Tourism Regional Commission for the Americas (CAM), which opened on Tuesday as a forum to discuss the sector's trends and prospects.

A few days before the 42nd edition of the International Tourism Fair, FITCuba 2024, to be held from May 1 to 5, this CAM edition, which is taking place in Cuba, is attended by executives from the sector worldwide.

Participants will gather at the Meliá Internacional Hotel in Varadero, in western Matanzas province, and Gustavo Santos, regional director for the Americas, will present the report Panorama of Trends and Prospects of International Tourism in the Region, as well as some keynote speeches.

On Monday. Cuban Minister of Tourism Juan Carlos Garcia indicated that the international seminar associated with the 69th meeting of the UN Tourism Regional Commission for the Americas can provide tools to achieve the regional goals.

Garcia added that the meeting, Enhancing tourism development through innovation in community-based tourism, addresses relevant issues for the drivers of the processes for the benefit of our peoples.
