According to the Honduran legislature in its social media, the signing of these agreements took place within the framework of the recent China 2024 International Fish and Seafood Exhibition held in Fuzhou.

The information disclosed said that during the meeting between Redondo and Yu, they also discussed the visit to Honduras next September of the member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice president of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Li Hongzhong.

In addition, they discussed participation in the high-level Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Artificial Intelligence, to be held in Panama.

Likewise, it was learned that Redondo recently informed the plenary of Honduran deputies about the signing of a cooperation agreement between the National Congress of Honduras and the National People’s Congress of China on legislative exchange.

According to the source, diplomatic and commercial ties, as well as political and parliamentary exchange between this Central American nation and the Asian country, have been strengthened since the establishment of relations between both countries in March 2023.
