Russian companies in the energy sector “are actively working in Latin America”, and one of our markets is in the island with the construction of facilities with the use of natural resources, the vice-president said in declarations to Sputnik news agency.

Grabchak stressed that the 27th edition of the St. Petersburg Forum (SPIEF 2024) is an important showcase to strengthen ties and create commitments in terms of collaboration with Latin American countries.

“As far as the construction of hubs and networks is concerned, it is above all with Cuba with which we maintain an intense collaboration,” he remarked.

He also announced that within the agenda of the largest economic event in Russia he will have a meeting with Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas, who heads the Cuban delegation, where they will talk about the energy projects they are implementing, “some related to the construction of renewable energy facilities,” Grabchak added.
